The spot : Sunday in Brooklyn

Location:   348 Wythe Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11249

Cuisine:  American

What I ate : Malted Pancakes, Hazelnut Maple Praline, Brown Butter

Charred Avocado Toast, Wheatgrass, Pickled Onion, Sprouts, Cherry Tomatoes, Chili Oil

Ambiance:  Rustic Chic - There is natural lighting that illuminates the entire restaurant during the day. Exposed high beams a wood-burning oven and bar that makes you feel like you've arrived at a romantic ski lounge in aspen.

Review:  I was strolling around W'burg one morning, just happy to be out enjoying the sun. I heard rave reviews about this restaurant and decided to see what the fuss was all about. Sunday in Brooklyn is a one-stop shop. It's a restaurant, coffee shop, cocktail bar, and market all in one. This vibe is top notch; the staff is friendly. When I told them I wanted to review the place for my blog they gave me a full tour of the beautiful space which space spans four floors. There is also private space were they host wedding receptions. After the visit, I did my usual run down with my server and settled on avocado toast and malted pancake. The avocado toast was great the pickled onion took a very simple brunch entree to the next level. The malted pancake topped with hazelnut Maple praline, and brown butter awakened all sensations of taste. Sweet dishes and bread are not my favorite brunch items, but the combination was so uniquely tasty, I encourage you to try it if you visit. Sunday in Brooklyn is a beautiful place for brunch, even if you happen to stroll in on a Thursday in Brooklyn.
