Review: On a brisk Saturday afternoon, I called up one of  my favorite Brunchnista Kela Walker and  twirled into Juliette for a quick weekly kiki over brunch.  What drew us in was the ambiance, this French bistro truly transports you from Brooklyn to Paris in seconds.  As for the food -I know this is a faux pas, but I usually ask the waiter what he/she would order and what is the most popular dish and make my decision from there. This line of questioning led me to the baked egg with lentils which I must say had great promise but ended up being just okay.  Based on the description I thought it would be much more filling. I could have used more lentils in my dish which would have given it a less soupy consistency.  The Dutch blueberry pancake was right up my alley not too sweet so that I could enjoy the natural flavors of lemon blueberry. Kela enjoyed her Tartine's Croque-Monsieur croque-madame with egg and lamb sausage, but was more impressed with her favorite cocktail champagne with St. Germaine, because as she informed me  "brunch without alcohol is just a sad breakfast". Juliette is super instagramable so get ready to pull out your phone for a mini photo shoot! Of course that is exactly what Kela and I did after brunch, check the photos below.
